The goal of this conference is to create an opportunity for an international community of scholars to have a dialogue about factors, supported by research, that are associated with women’s choice of and success in IT careers. We will examine the ways in which these factors vary across cultures and age groups, and how they inform each other. We will synthesize the current research to identify areas for further research and application.

This conference will bring together researchers from around the world to investigate similarities and differences in women and girls’ interest and persistence in information technology programs of study and careers. The main conference objectives include:

  1. Enhance dialogue among researchers from different countries
  2. Synthesize current research findings
  3. Identify new research directions
  4. Disseminate results of the cross cultural analysis of research
